Greek Folk Music mit Oud & Qanun: Kiraz Duo

Eleni Mik & Nafsika Gotsamani spielen Stücke aus Griechenland und Kleinasien an der Kurzhalslaute Oud und der Zither Qanun (Kanun). Sie lassen alte byzantinische und osmanische Traditionen anklingen mit mehrstimmigen Lieder und instrumentalen Stücken, intimen Melodien und lyrischen Songs.

We are Nafsika and Eleni, two young musicians from Greece finding our voices in our old cultural traditions that arose from Byzantine and Ottoman influences. We met each other in Berlin, after which we played many concerts in Berlin’s bars and on Berlin’s streets. Our program features traditional Greek polyphonic songs, instrumental and vocal pieces on the qanun and the oud, and a beautiful variety of old traditional songs from minor Asia, the islands of Greece and the mainland. We will play intimate melodies and lyrical songs to let our minds travel away in the winter months. We hope to see you there!
